Youssef Maged is a software engineer in Cairo who fixes business systems, integrates AI, automates repetitive work and ships websites for companies in the Gulf, Europe, the US and Egypt.
I go into business systems that already run — and add what the business needs now, without breaking the part that makes the money. Slow reports, integrations that break without anyone noticing, and AI features that have to handle real customer data safely. I'm Youssef. Seven years building software professionally — working with clients across the Gulf, Europe and the US.
The Diagnosis · Two to three days · Fixed price, agreed after a free 20-minute call.
Know before you pay.
A senior engineer inside your system for two to three days: code, database, integrations or the AI your team already uses. You get at least three documented problems, each with its cause, the fix and a fixed price for that fix. The price of every fix is fixed and agreed before any work starts.
For the first step, before anyone quotes you a big number.
One Fix · Three days · Fixed price, quoted after the Diagnosis.
One problem, gone.
Your worst problem, fixed and measured before and after. One slow report, one failing integration or one fragile corner of the code: I measure it, fix it, test it and hand it back with the numbers.
For when you already know which problem hurts most.
The Rescue · Five days · usually after a Diagnosis · Fixed price, quoted after the Diagnosis.
Quiet, restored.
On Monday, your system is the thing everyone is talking about. By Friday, nobody mentions it. Day one measures where the time and the errors come from (skipped if you've had the Diagnosis). Then the three fixes that matter most, from slow reports to failing ERP and POS integrations, tested and ready to go live, with before-and-after numbers and a clear map of everything else.
The AI Use Check · One week · Fixed price, quoted after the Diagnosis.
Know what's leaving the building.
What your team already does with AI, what data is leaving, and the three rules to set now. A short written report and a one-hour call. When you want the full picture after it, the AI Readiness Audit is the next step.
For when people are already pasting company data into AI tools.
The AI Readiness Audit · Two weeks · after the Use Check · Fixed price, quoted after the Diagnosis.
Clarity, before commitment.
Before a single line of code: where your data truly lives, what may safely leave the building, and the few uses of AI that will earn back their cost. A document your board can act on, with no obligation to build it with me.
For when "do something with AI" deserves a real answer.
AI integration & automation · Scoped after a call or the Audit · Fixed price, quoted after the Diagnosis.
Intelligence, with manners.
AI and automation woven into the system you already run: a WhatsApp assistant, orders that sync themselves, documents read for you. Built in Zapier, Make, n8n or code, whichever fits the job. Customer data redacted before anything leaves your servers, proven by tests before it acts alone, every step logged and reversible.
For repetitive work that should run itself, and AI that has to be right in public.
AI, managed · Monthly, part-time AI lead · Fixed price, quoted after the Diagnosis.
Your AI, finally under one roof.
Your team is already using AI, often in tools nobody approved, with data nobody meant to share. I become the one person who owns it: which tools you use and pay for, what may and may not go into them, how people are trained, and which new use is worth the next step. Every month you see what is being used, what it costs, and what it returns.
For companies whose AI use grew faster than anyone's ability to oversee it.
Websites · Starts with the Website Plan · Fixed price, quoted after the Diagnosis.
First impressions, engineered.
Your website is the first meeting. It should feel like walking into your best office: fast, composed, unmistakably yours, and effortless for your team to keep that way. Building new? Start with the Website Plan: three days to a sitemap, a content plan and a fixed price for the build.
For businesses whose website has not caught up with them.

Whyme
Most companies don't need new software. They need the software they have to work for them.
Somewhere in your business there's a system that runs operations. It was built years ago, probably by someone who has since left. It works — until it's slow at month end, or an integration breaks silently, or the board asks why you aren't using AI yet and nobody can answer.
Rewriting it is a twelve-month project nobody wants to fund. So it stays as it is, and gets a little worse every quarter.
That gap is where I work.
Questions,answered.
The things people usually ask before the first call.
Bank transfer to my Egyptian business account, Wise, Payoneer, or through Deel if your company already uses it. You get a proper invoice from my sole proprietorship, registered in Egypt, with a tax number. Every price is fixed and agreed before any work starts. Other fixed-scope work is paid half when it starts and half on delivery. Payment in your local currency is possible.
No. I'm a sole proprietorship registered in Egypt, with commercial and tax registration, and I've worked with US and European clients on standard contracts for years. My work history is on LinkedIn and shipped work, including the open-source project Elicitkit, is on GitHub. I'll sign your paperwork, an NDA, and a DPA if you need one.
Cairo time is GMT+2 (GMT+3 in summer): the same working day as the Gulf, one to two hours from the UK and Europe, and the whole morning for the US east coast. For US west coast work I set expectations up front and run it asynchronously.
You get a normal invoice from my sole proprietorship registered in Egypt, in US dollars or your currency, with its commercial and tax registration numbers on it. I don't charge EU or UK VAT. How VAT is accounted for on your side (for services bought from outside the EU or UK this is often the reverse-charge mechanism) is for your accountant to confirm. A DPA is available on request.
Often. I'm a native Arabic speaker, an hour or two behind the Gulf, so we share the whole working day, and I can be in Dubai or Riyadh in a few hours when a project warrants being in the room.
Usually, yes. Most of my work is alongside an in-house team or an existing agency, not replacing them.
One person, formally registered: I run a sole proprietorship registered in Egypt, and I'm the person who does the work. For larger projects I bring in people I've worked with before — but you deal with me, and I'm accountable for all of it.
Start with the Diagnosis: two to three days and a written report that tells you exactly what you need, with a fixed price for every fix. If the question is about AI, the AI Use Check answers the urgent part in a week, and the AI Readiness Audit gives the full picture.
A free 20-minute call with me. If it's a fit, existing systems usually start with the Diagnosis and new websites with the Website Plan, so the price of the build or the fix is based on facts. If it isn't a fit, I'll say so and suggest who might be better.
